It follows the journey of Stewart, a puny teenager who must push his father in a wheelchair through the streets of a vibrant Congolese town in order to reach the border. However, unlike the “Spirit Paintings” process, the apparition in The Black Cabinet is a prediction of what is to come, a vision of the 1920s.
